पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी का जन्म 14 नवंबर 1889 को उत्तरप्रदेश के इलाहाबाद(अब प्रयागराज)में एक अच्छे परिवार में हुआ। उनके पिताजी मोतीलाल नेहरू एक प्रसिद्ध वकील और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। नेहरू जी ने अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा भारत में घर पर ही प्राइवेट ट्यूशन से और उच्च शिक्षा इंग्लैंड के Harrow School और Cambridge University से प्राप्त की।
